The main aim of the Cape Town Facebook Developer Group is to build the local Facebook application developer community. The group will provide a platform for interested parties to network and share ideas, and create an environment conducive to interaction and the exchange of skills & resources.
With an array of talented developers in the area, the Cape Town community has established itself as a technical hotbed. It’s this wealth of knowledge, expertise and passion that the group hopes to engage. Through this community we'll provide participants with access to other developer skills, investors, job and business opportunities. In addition, we can facilitate group interactions with companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook through garages, workshops or lobby groups.
Moreover, this initiative is entered into within the context of community ownership. We encourage participation and hope that through this the Developers Group will be able to remain relevant to its members.
