A small incision is made and a cannula (small hollow tube) is inserted into the fatty tissue beneath the skin, moving this from side-to-side will help to break up the fatty deposits which are then removed through the cannula by a suction system. It is also possible to get Laser Assisted Liposuction but, the principles remain basically the same.

Body jet liposuction is the newest form of liposuction using water to free fat cells in the body from the tissue that connects them making it easier and more gentle to remove them than in previously used liposuction techniques. Although this procedure gives the same results as normal liposuction, it does not use lasers or ultrasound and so there is a minimum of tissue trauma caused and the improvements can therefore be seen straightaway.

Liposuction is used to eradicate those localised fat deposits which develop in the body and are totally resistant to diet and exercise.
