Overview of "Breast Reduction Cost"

When we hear about breast surgery, we tend to think naturally of breast enlargement - "boob jobs." However, breast reduction is becoming very popular as well and breast reduction cost is coming down all the time. Having oversize breasts can prove very painful and quite dangerous for some women. Breathing can be affected, and sever back pain can also be a result.

Men who suffer from Gynocomastia or "Man Boobs" also find a lot of relief in surgery which reduces the size of the breasts.

The surgery is relatively simple, and has been refined over the last 10-15 years to reduce the risks dramatically. An incision is made along the base of the breast, and the surgeon removes any unnecessary tissue. Excess skin is then removed and reattached.

There will be some swelling and bruising after the operation, so patients should not expect to feel 100% straight away. However, the healing process should not take longer than 4 weeks. The breasts will take a few months to settle down into their "new" size and shape, however. This is completely normal.

Prices are very variable, depending on what needs to be done, and also on the area where the clinic is based. You should expect the cost of breast reduction to be in the region of £2,000-£5,000.
