The Microgeneration Certification Scheme or MCS is an industry led and funded organization that has been appointed by the UK government to create and regulate renewable technology standards governing products and installations. Only installers and suppliers accredited by the MCS are able to provide and install PV solar panels for sale that meet the strict guidelines imposed by the MCS. Any installations not supplied by MCS accredited suppliers will not be eligible for entry into the Feed in Tariff for renewable energy and will not receive the cash payments. It is therefore essential to only compare photovoltaic panels cost from MCS accredited energy companies or thousands of pounds could be lost every year.
