Large Factories and High Tech R&D Centre
The factories of JA Solar have the most advanced solar cell equipment. The company has two major facilities which are located in Ningjin and Yangzhou. They also have a PV module facility in Fengxian, Shanghai. It had a capacity of 500 MW at the end of 2010.
JA Solar also has a multi-crystalline silicon wafer factory, situated in Donghai, Jiangsu Province, and that has an yearly capacity of 300 MW.
The company's state of the art research centre in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, has a R&D team which develop new technologies and innovations to achieve enhanced conversion efficiencies from solar cells.
The efforts of the R&D team have recently resulted in the development and production of new, advanced multi-crystalline and mono-crystalline solar cells which has conversion efficiencies of more than 18.2% and 19.1% respectively.
