Cost Of Body Jet Liposuction

What is Body Jet Liposuction?

Body jet liposuction is the newest form of liposuction using water to free fat cells in the body from the tissue that connects them making it easier and more gentle to remove them than in previously used liposuction techniques. Although this procedure gives the same results as normal liposuction, it does not use lasers or ultrasound and so there is a minimum of tissue trauma caused and the improvements can therefore be seen straightaway.

How much does the Procedure Cost?

The total cost of this procedure will depend on how much of the body you wish to have treated but on average it can range between £1600-£1900. It is possible to have body jet liposuction completed on most body areas that have large fat deposits although the most common areas for treatment are the hips, abdomen, top of the arms and the thighs. As fat cells are unable to grow back the initial results will remain the same with any weight gain after the surgery going on to other body parts.

What happens during the Liposuction?

During this surgery, the doctor will make a small cut in the skin through which a cannula is inserted through the skin and into the area of the fatty tissue. The cannula is then used to introduce a pulsating spray into the area around the fat cells. This solution, including the fat cells, is then immediately removed from the body by suction. This means that the fat cells are removed intact and can be used to enhance any other part of the body the patient wishes. As there is less trauma with this type of liposuction, there is less bruising and swelling which makes recovery time much quicker. The patient therefore is usually able to resume their normal lives and activities within days of the procedure being completed.

Who can carry out this Procedure for me?

You will need to find a trained and qualified doctor to carry this out for you using a sterile area, such as an outpatient surgery, hospital or clinic. Depending on the area of the body you wish to have treated and the way your chosen doctor prefers to work, the liposuction can be carried out using nothing more than a local anaesthetic. The procedure can take between and over three hours and this will again depend on the amount of liposuction to be carried out although this is less than normal liposuction.
